My Dad went there during his army service, in the 1940s. It was still known as Ceylon then of course. Looks lovely indeed.

I have been to a Hill town in Southern India (I cant remember the name, it was 20 years ago) and it was also this strange combination of British architecture and India. It was wonderfully cool after the heat of Chennai.
