24 Amazon Travel Essentials that Are Must Haves For Your Next Trip
After countless trips around the world, I think I’ve finally mastered the art of packing, finding the right balance between things that will make my life easier, and keeping things lightweight.
I’ve put together this list of the best Amazon travel essentials for your next trip that will help you stay organized while traveling.
If you’re in a hurry, you can find all the products listed below on my Amazon Storefront page.
APPLE AIR TAG
Find some peace of mind with these Apple Air Tags, add one to your check-in luggage so you know where it is in case it gets lost in transit. You can also add one to your wallet and another to your purse or carry-on.
Set it up with your phone with the iPhone’s Find My app and place it in your bag!
PASSPORT HOLDER TRAVEL WALLET
If you like to keep things organized and all in one place, this wallet is made for you. It fits your passport, credit cards, cash, and travel documents.
It’s also RFID blocking so you don’t have to worry about someone stealing your info.
It comes in 20 different colors.
BELT BAG
A belt bag is definitely a travel must-have, it allows you to keep everything important at hand and close to you. It’s super practical and allows you to store important stuff safely.
This Lululemon one is a best seller, is durable and comes in a bunch of different colors and materials.
PACKING CUBES
Packing cubes have been a life changer for me. I used to struggle to find anything in my bag and ended up having to take everything out all the time.
Not only do packing cubes allow you to save space, but they also help you keep your suitcase organized.
I used to do one for tops, one for bottoms, one for underwear… but now I do one per outfit and it has been great as I don’t have to empty everything all the time.
They also do compression ones if you need to fit a lot of stuff into a smaller bag. But be mindful of weight limits when using those.
HANGING TOILETRY BAG
If you tend to travel with a lot of toiletries, then you’ll need a big toiletry bag with several compartments to help you keep things organized and easy to find.
Do get a hanging one as it will help you look through your stuff, but also, in some places there’s limited space to put your toiletry, so being able to hang it will save the trouble.
This one is a best seller on Amazon and comes in different sizes and colors.
MAKE UP BAG
I like having a different bag for my make-up to avoid messes and make finding what I need easier.
This one comes in different sizes and colors and offers several compartments to keep your make-up organized.
MAKEUP SPONGE AND BRUSHES HOLDER
Another travel must-have, if you wear make-up, is a case for your brushes to keep them as clean as possible and to avoid putting make-up all over your toiletry or make-up bag.
This one is made of silicon so you can easily clean it after your trip.
TRAVEL BOTTLE SET
Mini bottles are great travel essentials if you travel with a carry-on only or like to keep things light. It’s easy to transfer most creams and lotions into them and even when I travel for a month it’s enough to last me the whole trip.
I like the silicon ones better because you can squeeze out what’s inside, with the plastic ones it gets annoying.
REUSABLE WATER BOTTLE
I try to reduce plastic use as much as I can and found that traveling with a reusable water bottle is pretty easy and convenient.
In countries where tap water is drinkable, you can get a small one and refill it pretty much anywhere. Unless you’re planning on going on long hikes where you might not be able to refill it as easily, so get a big one instead.
Same for countries where you can’t drink tap water, take one big enough to last you the day. Most hotels will offer free refills.
They also make collapsible ones which can help save space if you’re not using it all the time.
POWER BANK
While I’d love to be able to travel without my phone to fully disconnect during my vacation, I also love to get pictures and don’t want to bother with a paper map.
If you’re using your phone’s GPS and camera, it’s unlikely your battery will make it through the day. Having a power bank has saved the day many times for me and I simply cannot travel without one.
This one is pretty small and lightweight and will charge your phone super fast.
LED TRAVEL MIRROR
Hotel lightning is not always the best when it comes to doing your skincare routine or putting on your makeup.
This little travel mirror includes the perfect lighting to get ready from anywhere. You can adjust the intensity and has a great charge life.
TRAVEL BACKPACK
This travel backpack is a game changer. It can hold so much stuff while packing almost no space. You can use it as a carry-on and easily add one week’s worth of clothes (in summer).
It fits under the seat for most airplane companies.
It’s lightweight, breathable, durable, and convenient with several packets to keep your things organized. It also comes in several colors.
ADJUSTABLE TRAVEL PILLOW
If your trip involves a long-haul flight, then packing a good travel pillow is a must! I personally love this one as you can fold it in different ways.
It’s super comfy and you can adjust it pretty much however you like.
PERFUME ATOMIZER
Perfume bottles can take up quite a lot of space and can break easily, so these perfume atomizers are just perfect. You can bring your favorite scents without worrying.
These are super easy to fill and are small enough to be put on your carry-on.
WRINKLE RELEASER SPRAY
Keeping your clothes wrinkle-free when traveling can be hard. Some hotels provide guests with an iron but not always.
For the most part, I try to travel with clothes that don’t wrinkle easily but there’s always that nice linen pant or blouse I want to bring and never end up wearing because of the terrible wrinkles all over.
This spray is a game-changer. It won’t replace an iron but it will help smooth out the wrinkles.
TOILET SPRAY
If you’ve ever shared a hotel room with someone, you know how embarrassing things can get when someone needs to use the bathroom.
Having a scented spray can be useful and make things a bit less awkward. This one is travel-sized and is made to cover any unpleasant smell.
DISINFECTING WIPES
Staying on topic, being able to disinfect public toilet seats before using them will make that moment much more pleasant.
Even in hotel rooms, the toilets are not always the cleanest, so being able to clean them gives me some peace of mind.
And you never know where you might end up having to use the restroom, so wipes will always come in handy.
UNIVERSAL TRAVEL PLUG ADAPTER
I always recommend checking the type of sockets for the country you’re traveling to.
This universal adapted will work in any country and with any type of plug, so you can use it for every trip to take.
Note that this is not a power adapter, so things like hair dryers and such might not work properly in some countries. You’ll need to check the voltage.
Power adapters are bulky and pricy, so it’s just best to leave some appliance at home (and buy one there if you really need it).
You’ll be fine with things like phones and laptops.
PILL ORGANIZER
If you take a lot of vitamins or medicine, getting a travel-sized pill organizer can make things easier.
This one is pretty small, so perfect for a short trip. It comes in a pack of 3 in different colors.
CABLE ORGANIZER
If you travel with a lot of electronics and like to keep things tidy (like me!), then a cable organizer is a travel must-have.
This one can fit a bunch of cables, a mouse, USB keys, and a power bank. It comes in a bigger size if you really have a lot of stuff, but the smaller one should be enough for most people.
It comes in different colors, is durable, and is lightweight.
DOOR HOOK
It always surprises me that they make showers without any space to put your things. When you have an ensuite bathroom it doesn’t really matter, but when the bathroom is shared are they expecting you to walk around with just your towel?
Anyway, this little gadget is made to be hung in as many places as possible (the door, curtain rod…) so that you get a hook to hang your clothes and towel while you shower.
It can also be used to avoid putting your purse or coat on the floor when using public restrooms. And, it doubles as a cell phone stand, bottle opener, ruler, and thread cutter.
TRAVEL SOAP DISH
I always travel with soap as it takes so much less space than shower gel. However, it doesn’t always have time to dry and is annoying to store.
I used to put it in a plastic bag, but it honestly wasn’t that great. Until I found this little soap dish made for travel. It’s waterproof and leakproof and there’s a drainage rack to help it dry faster.
LAUNDRY SOAP SHEETS
I always try to pack enough clothes for my trip or to find a laundromat for longer trips. However, this is not always an option.
These laundry sheets are lightweight and compact and are great to use to handwash a couple of clothes. It’s best to use them day to day as if you have a bigger load, you might as well buy a small packet at the grocery store.
PACKABLE COOLER
If you’re planning a beach trip or intend to picnic during your trip, then packing a foldable insulated cooler is a great idea.
I use mine every time I go on a road trip and it helps keep the food fresh for the day. If you’re not flying you can even add some ice packs to keep food fresh even longer.
This one is foldable and lightweight so it won’t take up much space. You can also use it as a carry-on on the plane if needed,
