Welcome to Grasse, France, the sweet-smelling gem of the French Riviera! Known as the world’s perfume capital, this charming hilltop town will dazzle your senses with its fragrant air, colorful old town, and beautiful countryside views.

We visited as part of our 4-day Côte D’Azur road trip and it didn’t disappoint. We spent a couple of hours strolling around town, doing some shopping, and people-watching. It makes a great half-day trip from Nice (or road trip stop).

However, if you’re a perfume enthusiast or planning to explore the surrounding Provençal countryside, a two-day stay will give you a more relaxed and fulfilling experience. Grasse also makes a great base for visiting nearby villages and the Côte d’Azur, so consider extending your stay if you want to dive deeper into the region.
